I worked out last night after feeling
I worked out last night after feeling totally drained from not getting good sleep recently (my little guy is teething). I had just gotten him to bed last night and there was a peloton ride starting in a minute. I wanted so badly to just get in bed but held myself accountable (with the help of a friend!) and got on the bike and rode for 35 minutes! I felt great after and actually got a decent night’s sleep last night - yay!

My win was having dinner with my girlfriend
My win was having dinner with my girlfriend and taking today off from my kids. My husband is going to be gone from this evening until Wednesday. So I need to recharge to be present for them this week.

Win this week…quality time with my daughter watching a movie. Her pick and she picked Clouds. Very emotional journey of a terminally ill teenager. It reinforced my journey of making the most out of my one life and this program has been key. I even tried to talk my 11 year old into the morning routine when it was over. She didn’t go for it. Any tips on convincing her is appreciated!!!

I’m proud of the way I prioritized
I’m proud of the way I prioritized and made time for relaxation - guilt-free! - this week. I did not worry about what needed to get done or obsess over all the things I could’ve done in the time I took to relax. I feel that by reading this every day in my values, I’m actually starting to do it and believe it.

This career development couldn’t have come at a better time. We have been given a worksheet to feel out about our jobs. I was so lose because I have never done this better. I’m so excited to fill it out. It is something I would like to go over with our next meeting.

Ok ladies my win was I started
Ok ladies my win was I started giving away stuff on my local community “buy nothing site”. It feels good to give back to my community. I been saying that I’m going to do this for years. So even if it’s little by little (today is 30 kid books). It’s allowing my basement to not gather stuff that I do not need. It was my action item toda :) baby steps.

Win this week…loving the morning routine! I feel more ready to get in work and be a mom after spending time on myself. Somehow it has made the day feel longer which is good… except when 3 PM rolls around and I have been so productive I think the workday should be done.

I bought a Hydroflask (inspired by Katy’s!)
I bought a Hydroflask (inspired by Katy’s!) and have been using it all week. I’ve actually found myself choosing water over other drinks because it’s right there and I have been refilling 3-4 times a day! A few weeks ago I couldn’t have imagined drinking this much water, but now I’m actually enjoying it.

Day 1 of starting my morning routine today. Getting up early and having an hour and 15 minutes to myself was incredible. Tomorrow going to listen to one of Katy’s modules for my personal development. Win/win.

My win this week is that starting my deliberate morning routine inspired my husband to be more active in the morning, too! I am one of those people who identify as “not a morning person” so he watched me get up and go through this routine and rethought how he starts his day and now he gets his own 20 minutes of body movement in first thing. Feels good to start these little actions every day that will make us a happy, health family!

My win this week was decoupling morality/food! I wanted an Oreo last night and ate it GUILT FREE and it was amazing. I really enjoyed it and hadn’t had one in a while. I’m really noticing how much I associate “good”/”bad” with certain foods - but awareness is the first step! Also changing the way I talk to my kids about food so I can break the cycle!

The last couple days I put 4 16.9oz water bottles
The last couple days I put 4 16.9oz water bottles on the kitchen counter and challenged myself to drink as many as possible - I know not environmentally friendly, but I needed to physically see them and check them off the list! - and I did it! So almost 70 oz of water each day, which at the beginning of this program seemed very difficult for me to even drink half that. This might be more than what I “need” water intake-wise but with nursing I figured it can’t hurt!
Win this week is the realization that this program has given me back a little bit of control in the crazy world right now. With the election and corona it has felt like my life is being controlled by outside influences rather than my driving what I want and do. Setting my values and goals has helped me feel more in control and have a plan. Thanks Katy!!!

Win tonight! Been struggling to find date night options during the pandemic. Husband is high risk so we can’t go out… We are doing a virtual cooking class tonight followed by a candle lit dinner from our class! Excited to try something new and work on a goal of connecting with my husband.

I found an app for morning stretches to do before work. It was only 12 minutes. I was feeling a little anxious and decided to use the app. It was just what I needed. Now back to work.

Win on body movement this week!
Win on body movement this week! Minneapolis got 8 inches of snow (too early!) but the temperatures were still mild (mid to upper 30s), so I still walked my son to and from daycare which is a half mile from our house. It felt surprisingly good to get outside and move, even through it’s not “ideal” weather and the bonus was my 3-year old LOVED walking home in falling snow and throwing snowballs at trees.
Win on body movement this week!
